About

I’m a highly creative illustrator and graphic designer. My unusual career path means I can bring both my creative skills and an organised and professional approach to your brief.

I graduated with a first-class degree in Graphic Communication from the University of Northampton and am now living my dream of becoming a freelance designer and illustrator. I also work in collaboration with Slade Design on larger scale projects. I’m not your typical design graduate, having had a ten-year career in logistics management working in the telecoms industry for the likes of Nokia, Samsung and Vodafone. My job took me to many places including Ireland, Switzerland and South Korea.

I’m now studying part-time for a Masters degree in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, continuing with my lifelong learning journey. I’m intermitting my studies until January 2024.

About me

In 2015, with some help from CareerShifters, I decided that I needed to retrain for my real passion which is art and design. Thanks to my unusual career path and skillset, I can bring both creative thinking and the organisational skills and professionalism that comes with having worked in senior management.

I see my new career in design as a vocation rather than a job. I’m in love with the process of craft as well as ideas generation and believe in the use of good design for positive social change.

In 2020 I won a bronze Creative Conscience award for my fashion brand concept Refabric8. Read more about it in the Bedford Independent.
